This module will provide learners with critical understanding and knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology in the adult, child or neonate, including mental health aspects of pathophysiology. The module will build on students’ previous knowledge and further develop essential skills to explore, analyse and critically evaluate contemporay evidence across the life span in advanced practice.

Perinatal development, genetic influences, physiological adaptations at birth and homeostasis.
Normal anatomy and physiology of major body systems
Concepts of disease processes
Physiology and pathophysiology of diseases and systems
This module is delivered over one academic term.
